Hi!! My name is Isabella Appell. I am the face behind Talking Masks. I graduated UCLA with a Bachelor's degree in Communications and minors in Disability Studies and Music Industry. During the Covid-19 epidemic, I put my passion for accessibility and creativity into sewing clear masks for hearing as well as hard of hearing people.

Now, almost five years later, I am restarting my journey into understanding how to make spaces more accessible and put what I have learned into something practical.
At this time, it is so important that the Deaf Community is given the same opportunity to communicate in our world as everyone else. I am so excited to be able to raise awareness for them through these clear masks.
